Young at Heart: A Look Back

These gatherings gave our senior parishioners more than a meal—they offered friendship, connection, and a sense of belonging. Coming together at Holy Trinity helped strengthen relationships, reduce isolation, preserve community traditions, and remind our older members that they remained a valued and important part of parish life. These photographs, likely taken in the 1970’s, capture the joy and fellowship that have always been at the heart of the Young at Heart ministry, formerly known at the Senior Citizens luncheon.

A special note of gratitude goes to Nick and Syd Collesides, who graciously opened their home each summer to host a Young at Heart luncheon. Their hospitality helped create many cherished memories and strengthened the spirit of fellowship within the parish.
